The Stave is a fantastic destination, offering a perfect blend of high-quality dining and an inviting atmosphere. This place is a must-visit! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Even though we showed up an hour early for our reservation, the staff quickly accommodated us and got us seated right on time. Our server, Brantley, was absolutely great, ensuring our evening was seamless and enjoyable. The atmosphere is simplistic and welcoming, and the curated music selection set a wonderful, relaxed mood for dinner. The food, however, was the true highlight. The Smokehouse Meatloaf is, without a doubt, a perfect 10/10 dish. It was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend—who doesn't usually gravitate toward meatloaf—declared, "That meatloaf is delicious, and I don’t even like meatloaf that much!" It’s the kind of dish you immediately want seconds of, and we will definitely be ordering it again. We finished the meal on a high note by snagging the last slice of the Fig Pecan Pie. It was rich, delicious, and the perfect decadent ending to a spectacular meal. If you are near The Stave, do yourself a favor: go for the amazing food, stay for the great service, and absolutely order the Smokehouse Meatloaf!

Love this little place! We were on our way from Woodford Reserve to Castle & Key and found this gem. While they usually require a reservation (I would recommend it) we managed to get in. It’s a tiny little place inside but there’s outdoor seating. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The butternut squash soup was amazing. The corn bread is so amazing-you can tell it’s homemade. Their smash burgers were yummy. I would highly recommend you stop in if you’re near by.

Small venue and very deceiving on the outside; wait for it! Great food and the bourbon selection is top notch. Miss a distillery, catch a tasting at the stave. Close to Buffalo Trace. Make sure to coordinate a taxicab if you need transportation to/from.

When we first pulled in, I wasn't sure. When we walked in and saw the bourbon selection, WOW!!! That's all I can say about that. Then our food came out, again, WOW!!! It was so good, we went back two days later! I would drive 9 hours again, just to eat here! Go Go Go! We'll worth it! Oh, and I bought one of their coffee mugs, the best mug I own.

This tiny place was so cool and of course had really great food. I had the bacon jam and pimento cheese on sourdough and had them add a burger patty to it...was so so good. It is a little on the pricey side but I completely expected it with their location. My girlfriend got the smash burger and it was ok it was just too small of burger patty and too much bun. However our server was adorable and very sweet, I believe her name was Allie. She definitely did a great job.

Very cute & cozy restaurant. If coming in busy season make a reservation. We however didn’t & there were two of us & we were immediately seated. Drinks came out fast. The meals were slow to arrive but it was very busy & it wasn’t really too bad of a wait. The cheese grits were the best grits I’ve ever had. As a northerner however I learned they do not mess around about the smoked bologna. It had a lot of flavor! It was just a lot more bologna than expected but when in Rome!! Service was very friendly & we’ll definitely be back!

Had a wonderful meal at The Stave between distillery tours yesterday. They offer an extensive FOUR pages of whiskeys and flights along with tasty cocktails and delicious food. It's a small, popular place that fills up quickly so a reservation is recommended. We were sat outside on the screened porch where it was rather warm but the temps weren't too hot. Pay attention to the weather in case you're seated outside and might need a jacket. The staff was very nice. They couldn't locate a whiskey our guest ordered so a different whiskey was ordered. We told our server we had 1 hour and had to eat very quickly to leave on time, but every plate arrived exactly as we ordered and tasted delicious. I'd definitely go back. The butterflies and blueberries cocktail is wonderful.

Stopped by on a recommendation for lunch and was really impressed. Had the Pork BBQ platter. The coleslaw was phenomenal. Another relish I was impressed with were the picked red onions, a perfect compliment. The one thing that would have made it better was a good old fashioned pickle spear. The atmosphere was perfect for the bourbon trail.
